Staying just one night in Portland before heading to my next destination, I needed a last-minute room and ended up booking one at the Longfellow Hotel. I appreciated how helpful and engaging the staff were. My room was large and modern with very sleek and minimalistic touches. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens were soft. The blackout curtains provided wonderful darkness to sleep in and the shower had great water pressure. I appreciated all of the little touches like providing water and any necessary toiletries in a common area on each floor as well as local fresh ground coffee beans to make in the room. They provided valet parking and were swift in there responses to request. Although I did not try the on-site restaurant, I heard wonderful things about it. I did thoroughly enjoy the coffee shop that was located next-door and highly recommend it. I would most definitely stay here again the next time I am in town visiting.

We stayed at the Longfellow for 2-nights while in Portland and had a great experience! The hotel was beautiful and very clean. We loved the filtered water stations on each floor. The staff was so kind and helpful. We took the complimentary car service to dinner one night and it was so easy. The hotel is outside of the Old Portland area, but we honestly really it! Would 100% stay here again!

Great experience staying here. We had 3 rooms, all of us 100% happy with the staff, cleanliness, comfort & the car service on demand. The cocktails & food at all times of day were spectacular.

The Longfellow Hotel delivered some of the best service I’ve experienced anywhere — genuinely Four Seasons–level quality right in Portland, Maine. From the moment I arrived, the staff set the tone with a warm, personal touch. They spent real time during orientation, making sure I felt welcomed and fully taken care of, and their attentiveness continued throughout my stay. The rooms are beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, and the food is excellent — far better than what you’d expect at this price point. For luxury-level hospitality at a reasonable rate, the Longfellow Hotel is a standout. I’ll definitely be returning.

Very pleasant hotel. Booked two rooms and were thoughtfully situated next to each other on the fifth floor. The only real downsides were that I wished there was more desk/table space to put one’s things and housekeeping service was rather slow. Otherwise everything else was wonderful; the front desk is incredibly helpful, the daily water was appreciated; the bed was comfortable and last but not least, the rainfall shower was the best and felt luxurious. Loved the simple but spacious gym with quality equipment.

We loved our stay at the Longfellow in the Grand Standard Room with Back Cove Views. The entire experience was elegant and comfortable with great attention to detail from the high quality mattress and organic bedding to the walk-in rainfall shower. A chaise lounge and large window provided amazing views. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. They gave us an excellent recommendation for a Thai restaurant within walking distance, and they were also happy to help me when I needed to have an ice pack frozen (I was recovering from an injury). After dinner, we enjoyed creative cocktails at the Five of Clubs bar. In the morning we had a great breakfast at the Twinflower Cafe. The valet service was professional, prompt, and courteous. There were many different groups of people staying there, from couples to families with small children and young adults. We recommend the Longfellow to anyone looking for a high quality and comfortable Portland experience!

Couldn't have picked a better place to stay for my first time in Maine. I came to Portland during their off season to relax (& eat lots of seafood) so everywhere was pretty quiet & I loved that. I'm used to bougie hotels in big cities so the thought of looking for a hotel in a small town like Portland made me a bit nervous but I'm soooo happy I found Longfellow. It's the perfect blend of traditional & contemporary design, felt like a big warm hug!!! The rooms and bathrooms are BIG, and they come with big soft robes which I loooove. The bed was big & comfy, I woke up to a gorgeous view of the autumn trees and the water every morning AND I GOT SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS FROM MY ROOM TOO This is the first hotel I've been to where there was no physical front desk however it works well for them because they have a texting system in place. So you can text the hotel whenever you need something and they reply in less than 30 seconds. super prompt & efficient and you don't even have to leave your room It's walking distance from restaurants, bars, dispensaries, shops, and the Pier. There is also a bar, restaurant & cafe in the hotel. And take advantage of their spa if you can!!! The hotel, also gives complimentary rides anywhere within a 3 mile radius so definitely take advantage of that. Lyft and Uber are also very cheap. I would absolutely 100% recommend this hotel.
